GPS Network:
SDMM is actively involved with establishing a RTK GPS/ GNSS network of reference stations in Nova Scotia. This Network provides internet based GPS/ GNSS corrections to end-users with minimal operator interaction. These corrections are the most current, efficient, innovative and technologically advanced in the world today. The benefits to our clients and other end-users are literally endless. June 2008:
Kristine Marie Burke was presented with the Servant, Dunbrack, McKenzie & MacDonald Ltd. Bursary for the Sir John A. MacDonald Principal's List - Award for Highest Average in Advanced Placement Biology 12.
2008 Growth:
'08 was a big year for staff growth! SDMM had the privilege of welcoming Kyle Bower and Adam Patterson who joined us directly from the Geodesy and Geomatics program at UNB. Rachael Cannings joined us from the Carleton University Civil Engineering program.
We were very pleased to welcome Jim McIntosh back into the SDMM ranks after a 16 year hiatus to serve as the HRM Supervisor of Survey Services.
Eugene Hennebury also joined us from HRM and is now enjoying his new role as SDMM's leading engineering CAD technician.
